Empire's aim is versatility. The goal is to not be locked to a certain style, but to be able to get inside a client's skin, to learn of who they are, to find a way to help them express the image they want to convey. A lot of careful thought goes into determining the specific look and feel that will most effectively create an image your customers will respond to, and which will enthuse them about your product or service.

The examples in this portfolio display Empire's creation of a variety of themes and functionalities, from a site for high-end photography studio, featuring a state of the art image gallery; or a snowboard and skateboard shop, which includes all the features of social networking, like client memberships, a discussion forum, contributed video, and polls; or a book promotion site, that incorporates blogging capabilities. The goal of Empire is to create websites that are visually appealing, and make full use of the interactive capabilities of Web 2.0.

How you communicate your message visually is as important, if not more than the content you present. People tend to make first impressions. When it comes to graphic design, it's all about making a positive first impression. You have to first attract a reader to read your material. But people are also generally put off by aggressive advertizing.

The magic of good graphic design is knowing how to say enough, without saying too much. It is important to be careful about adding right amount of visual detail, that a design work is attractive, but not overbearing. Like a calm voice, a visual composition must convey confidence, but also a genuine concern for the client, treating him or her like a person, not a consumer.
