The great advantage of using a CMS is not only the proving a client with the ability of managing their own content, but also the interactivity that is possible. A vet a prime example, where numerous tools can be used to create engagement with site visitors. WKAH can upload files, photo galleries, a "Pet of the Month", instruction sheets, embedding video and even pet memorials. Their site becomes a resource for their clients.
McEwan Law
McEwan Law recently asked me to redesign their website. They had a new logo developed, and wanted a full rebrand of their site. The new site design incorporated their new colors, and my aim was to create a look that was professional, modern, and not too stuffy.
BCRSTN
The BCRSTN is the central hub for the several technology associations across the province. Here I wanted to evoke the feel that this was not a technology association directly, but one that represents other associations. So it steps away from the direct association with technology, and tries more to convey a regional feel.
Lone Sheep Publishing
I am a partner in Lone Sheep Publishing, which now operates 4 local online newspapers. We fisrt started with the Rossland Telegraph, but once we recognized the advantages of managing a paper online, and how it offered a solution for the challenges of keeping a local newspaper in a small town, we realized that other communities could benefit from the same. Since then, we have started newspapers in Castlegar, Grand Forks and Nelson.
Luxury Golf Vacations
Luxury Golf Vacations is a series of sites, this one specializing group packages. Most important with this design was to create a look that convincingly conveyed sophistication. I went with a full background image, which created a luxurious look, but not one typical of other luxury sites.
Columbia Networks
The owners of Columbia Networks new what they wanted in design, and didn't want something that looked too typical for hosting companies. I tried to come up with a design that was reflective of their offerings, modern but also not typical.
